Passing by...

I was just passing by…
With no fixed objective,
Trying to savor and
Understand why of things

In the beginning I was silly
Thinking I knew it all
After that I grew
To become someone I knew better than before

Tomorrow I don’t know
What will be? Will you tell me?
No! Cause I am on my own
Now and forever

My hands are my tools
And my eyes windows to the world’s
Greatest wonders
And ugly misfortunes

I will keep on walking
Working,
Enjoying,
Feeling,
And living,Cause I am just passing by…

Got lettuce????

My friend Frank (Adam’s partner) has to be the most stubborn person I have ever met. Even more than my mother. Besides, he loves playing “Dr. knows it all”. He is one of those people who have an answer and explanation for everything, even if it is not the correct one. He is funny and sweet (sometimes) though.
Last Monday, the three of us went to eat at a Greek-Armenian Restaurant in Glendale – Helena’s. It is a “hole in the wall”- family owned kind of place. I liked very much!
At dinner time one has a choice for salad or lentil soup and if you add $1.75 you can upgrade your simple salad to a “Greek salad”. Frank, then, was very proud to tell me he would be upgrading his simple salad to a Greek one. Wow! Way to go! Adam and I just ordered the humble lentil soup.
The lentil soup was delicious!
How about the Greek salad??? It was funny to see Frank’s disappointed face. It had… LETTUCE!!!!!!! They should know better: Greek salad does NOT have lettuce!!!!
So, there was a German guy debating with the Greek-Armenian cook about lettuces in the GREEK salad.
I know it sounds surreal but it is true. I was there! The next day I had to go online and double check. After all, Frank was so sure about NO lettuces at Greek salad that he almost convinced me that all those Greek Armenians at ‘Helena’s’ were a bunch of liars who didn’t have enough cucumbers to fill up the plate and replaced them with lettuces.
Here are some of the recipes I found online:

Oh well! Maybe he wanted a fruit salad…

Moving in

After almost 10 months dating, Randy and I will be moving in. Some people would say it is too early to take that step. I say ”I don’t care what people say”. I am the one who lives my experiences. Besides we are both in the same page and we love each other enough to hate each other sometimes and still stick together. I have no doubts we will be getting along just fine since Randy is a very sweet, easygoing guy who will be cooking and cleaning the bathroom. How about me? I will be in charge of culture and entertainment, just like Jay on Fab 5 (Queer eye for the straight guy)… hehehe
Jokes apart, I am very very excited to move in. We found this very cute house in a very quiet neighborhood in Silver Lake, about a mile from where I live now.
It is a two bedroom (small ones) with a nice living room and a huge deck in front with a view of the Silver Lake Hills. It is pretty I have to say!
The living room has a Grand Piano and I am hoping we will be able to keep it. I mean, it is totally our call since the landlord has asked us if we would like i1t there.
The other concern is putting together two cats with two chinchillas. I am afraid the chins are gonna eat the cats?!?! Those fluffy animals eat everything!!!The rent is $1700. My mother was shocked!!! Expensive? Not really. All the utilities are included and that means electricity, gas, water, trash, gardener, cable and college for our kids. Well, since we don’t have kids, that is N/A for us… Damn it!
