A very long engagement

This is such a sweet and fun film. I am a little bias to talk about this genre. "A very long engagement" is a romantic fantasy-reality movie that only Jean Pierre Jeunet could do. It follows the same formula of his previous films such as Amelie and Delicatessen (both not to be missed). It feels like you are being taken inside a modern fable, with an awesome fast paced and funny narrative. The cast led by Audrey Tautou, who has been conquering the world, is also phenomenal.Unlike "way too long film previews", all I will say about this piece is:It is about a young couple in love who is separated by the war. Manech (Gaspar Ulliel) faces Martial Court and is sent to the front-line, considered dead after an attack. Despite all the odds Mathilde, feeling her fiancé is still alive, never gives up and faces all obstacles to find clues of where he could be.
