Gay Jesus

I have always heard that European countries were generally more liberal than any other countries in the world.
While reading a Brazilian online newspaper I checked an article about "two dutch channels that canceled the airing of a commercial which questioned Jesus sexuality. According to local newspapers that was the first time a commercial was censored for its religious tone. Walter Kamp, who wrote the ad, stated that it was accepted in all other channels in Holland. Kamp will be suing both channels with the argument that this censorship violates either the Dutch Law or International Human Rights. The author of the commercial felt that being gay was not a important matter in Holland".
In the same Brazilian online paper, there is a section where readers can post their opinions and comments. I had to check that out. And there it was!!! All different kinds of messages, from interesting perspectives to very very stupid fanatic religious ones.
Even though I feel like people's sexuality should be more private than anything else in the world (Please, don't misundesrtand me: sex / sexuality should not be taboo and should be openly talked. What I am trying to say is that sex is something personal and each individual has his/her own turn ons and offs), I did think that was interesting. With no data on Jesus' love life ( but for some Maria Madalena assumptions), I ageed that he could have been gay or maybe assexual...
The question is: Does it matter???? or Should that matter for anyone else???
On one last note, I think it is only a commercial and on advertisement world, anything goes...
