Republicans X Bush

The Log Cabin Republicans, a group of gay republicans announced on Wednesday, August 9, that they will not be supporting the President George W. Bush on his campaign to re-election. The decision was taken after a voting where 22 votes against 2 confirmed the veridict.

The group stated that the biggest motivation for them to cancel the support was the fact the Bush recently defended an amendment against the gay marriage.

In 2000, during the elections, polls showed that more than 1 million gays and lesbians have voted for Bush and Cheney, including some 50 thousand voters in Florida. Even though it is expected that Bush loses most of gay republican voters because of the amendment situation, the group rejects changing sides to support Kerry, who they think is very inconsistent with respect to the gay matters.

Well, Kerry is inconsistent PERIOD! I pray he wins, but I am not sure with his wavering attitude on virtually every issue.
