Sports - To lose and have dignity

I am pissed off!!!
I am pissed off with the media in Brasil. I am also pissed off with the audience of the Pan American Games. I am Brazilian, very proud of my country but sometimes I feel embarassed or ashamed of the Brazilian people.
On Women's volleyball, Brazil just lost to Cuba on what was supposed to be the most waited final match of the whole Pan American Games. It was a battle -3x2 to Cuba - but for me the worse is not exactly the result (which by itself hurts me inside) but the reaction of the crowd. When Brazil wins, it is all good. We are the best. When Brazil loses, let's find the one to blame. The women of Brazil suck. They choked. Not to say all the cussing.
The hardest for me is definitely listening those undignified comments. How can people be so intolerant.
In my opinion, most of these people have not practiced sports in their lives. They don't know what is to compete, to lose or to win, and to come out with head up high, aknowledging that the opposing team was better at that moment.
We, Brazilians, have a lot to learn. We gotta love our own, scream, boo, dance, party and earn it in the end, being it with victory or defeat.
We gotta remember the purpose of sports is to bring together, not separate. To remember everyday we are all equal.
