CRASH!

This year has been a great year for movies already in my opinion. Last night I went to see Crash, written and directed by Paul Haggis, who also wrote “Million dollar baby”. What a great job! He is one of those filmmakers you want to grow up to be like… OH well, I AM a grown up… I guess I must have developed my own personal and unique style already. I just need to put in practice.
Seriously, Crash is one of those films any director wanted to have directed and screenplay writers wanted to have written. It is emotionally disturbing, intense and beautiful. A great portrait of LA’s different social levels and diverse ethnic groups living side by side. I enjoyed the way Paul Haggis portrayed sharply each different culture with their tendencies and characteristics without contaminated stereotypes. He made every character extremely human, with whom we develop a connection within a couple of minutes. There is no good or bad. All the characters are capable of doing good or bad depending on the circumstances.
I just love how accurate the situations in this film are. If I could predict, I know it is early to say but I think this film will be running for the Oscars next year.I give it an A!
